Thank you to all those who provided data for our Housing Needs Survey in July 2016. The results have now been put together into a comprehensive report. There is one section that needs some background data adding, but this report is otherwise complete.

Grant awarded to help us prepare a professional plan

8/11/2016

We have been awarded £6300 to support our process of putting together a professional Neighbourhood Development Plan. This can be spent on  professional fees, public consultation costs and publicity etc. We have to spend it within 6 months.

£5300 has been awarded by the Department for Communities and Local Government - see  My Community website for further details of their grant offer. We can apply for more (later) up to a maximum of £9000 total.

The Parish have added in the region of £1k.

This means a desk top review has already started of our existing docs, such as the Parish Plan, the recent housing needs survey and the Local plan plus older Port consultations. This will show us what we have that is sound and could go towards the NDP as it stands, what needs updating and what is missing. This will help us focus our effort going forward and prioritise our time. The review is being done by Placestudio with support from GRCC.
